Aspiring Renaissance Man
Konstantin was born in Ukraine, then came to Germany as a child. He's been making short films since he could hold up his parents' camcorder, then went on to become a professional media person by acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Media and Communications, where he specialized in film, storytelling, and 3D motion graphics. He is currently working on a Master's degree in Audio-visual Media at Stuttgart Media School. Konstantin wants to do all of the things and master all of the skills. He's working on that and making good progress.
Konstantin likes black tea and caramel. He loves storytelling, complex realities and meta-ness. To clear his mind, he juggles, plays the guitalele or does the dishes.
Mistress of Mayhem
Annekatrin was born in Eastern Germany when that was still a thing, then grew up in Franconia (Bavaria). Western Germany tried to assimilate her, but largely failed. She acquired three Bachelor's degrees at the University of Kansas, where she studied English, Education, and Psychology and worked in advising and administration. In early 2012, she baked a cake for Konstantin's production of Das Neujahrsgeschenk - which served as the gateway drug to film-making. Anne is currently working on her graduate degree in Media Reasearch, doing terribly exciting work on Social Art.
Anne likes raspberries, fizzy water and thunderstorms. She sings in her car and dabbles in experimental baking. She greatly enjoys spreadsheets and organizational structures, and tweets too much.
Konstantin and Annekatrin met and became friends back in high-school (first contact circa 2005). They were both part of the theater group, and they also had German together. And bio. And sociology. Their paths diverged in 2008, when Anne moved to the US for a few years, but connected minds tend to re-converge. So they did.
Konstitutionelle Anarchie came into existence in September 2012 as an idea on a napkin and a meaningful handshake, and has been developing and evolving ever since. Konstitutionelle Anarchie is a fully joint venture and collaboration of the two, with Konstantin in charge of directing, Anne in charge of production, while story development and research is shared.
We work together because our strengths play together nicely to minimize our weaknesses. We share most of our ideals and interests, and tend to understand each better than ourselves. We work in co-inspirational symbiosis and make each other better. Because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Plus, Anne makes good burritos and Konstantin makes excellent mexitalian pasta, which is the basis of every great collaboration.
